Harrods Christmas is officially back for 2026! 🎄 And despite it being only August, the famous Knightsbridge department store has already opened its Christmas department.

I headed to Harrods to take a first look at the Harrods Christmas Shop 2026, meet this year’s Christmas bear, Henry, see what’s new and pick out my favourite Christmas decoration.

And yes, I also had to try the Harrods chocolate coins. 🍫

🎄 Harrods Christmas Shop 2026

It’s always slightly surreal to be thinking about Christmas when London is in the middle of summer, but Harrods is one of the department stores that gets the festive season started early.

The Christmas department is in the basement, and the easiest way to reach it is via the entrance on Hans Crescent.

I visited in early August, so it’s worth remembering that the department may still change and develop as we get closer to Christmas. There weren’t Christmas decorations covering the outside of Harrods yet either, so I’m very curious to see what they do for the full festive season.

Inside, though, it already felt like Christmas.

Once you walk through the green garland entrance, you’re surrounded by glittering decorations, Christmas trees and beautifully arranged displays.

Meet Henry, the Harrods Christmas Bear 🧸

One of the first things you’ll see is Henry, the Harrods Christmas Bear.

Harrods has had a Christmas bear tradition since 1986, and Henry is back for 2026 with a much more traditional, cosy look.

He’s wearing a knitted jumper and hat, with Harrods 2026 on his paw.

It’s very Ralph Lauren Christmas meets Harrods — traditional, cosy and very British, but with a designer twist.

He’s also rather cute. And rather pricey.

Which, let’s be honest, is exactly what you’d expect from a Harrods Christmas bear!

🎀 The Pink Princess Christmas Decorations

Naturally, this was my favourite section.

Harrods has grouped many of its Christmas decorations by colour and theme, and the pink section is full of wonderfully girly pieces.

There are fashion-inspired decorations including little handbags, sparkly shoes, cocktails, champagne, matcha and lots of beautiful pink and gold details.

Some of my favourites included:

• Pink cakes with cherries
• A golden oyster
• Pink Nutcrackers
• Sparkly shoes
• Little handbags
• Champagne-themed decorations
• An Eiffel Tower

As the proud owner of a pink Christmas tree, I was very much in my element here.

✨ Traditional Christmas with a Harrods Twist

There are plenty of more traditional decorations too, from beautiful white and silver pieces covered in beads and sequins to classic wreaths, Nutcrackers, snow globes and Christmas trees.

One of the things I particularly love about department store Christmas shops is seeing the decorations arranged as they would look on a finished tree.

Rather than looking at hundreds of individual ornaments, you can see how the colours, textures and shapes work together.

It’s basically Christmas decorating inspiration — with a very large Harrods price tag!

Prices seemed to start at around £15 for some decorations, but there are plenty that cost considerably more.

This definitely isn’t Poundland, my loves. 😂

🇬🇧 London Christmas Decorations

One of my favourite areas was the section dedicated to London and Harrods.

If you’re looking for a Christmas souvenir from London, this is definitely somewhere to look.

You’ll find decorations inspired by:

• London taxis
• Red telephone boxes
• Big Ben
• St Paul’s Cathedral
• Beefeaters
• Union Jacks
• London buses
• Crowns
• The London skyline
• Harrods itself

There are also Harrods teddy bears, Christmas stockings and lots of red, white and green.

I particularly loved the shiny black London taxis and the incredibly detailed London-themed pieces.

And if you’re buying something to remember a trip to London, I’d definitely look for a decoration with Harrods and 2026 on it.

🍰 Christmas Food & Drink Decorations

Another fun part of the department is the food and drink-themed decorations.

There are cocktails, champagne, cakes, vegetables, honey, jam, butter and even some rather fabulous food-inspired ornaments.

If you’re a foodie, this section is particularly fun.

There are also plenty of cute animals, including Christmas cats and dogs, which give some of the displays a cosy, nostalgic feel.

👑 A Royal Christmas

Another beautiful section leans heavily into royal blue, gold and rich fabrics.

There are crowns, golden carriages, jewel-encrusted baubles, bows and beautifully decorated ornaments.

Some of the pieces are incredibly intricate, with lots of sequins, tassels and jewels.

There are also large Nutcracker soldiers, which would definitely need a home beside your fireplace rather than on your Christmas tree!

⚓ The Nautical Christmas Collection

This was probably my favourite unexpected section.

There are maritime-inspired decorations in red, blue, gold, white and pink, including:

• Anchors
• Sailor Nutcrackers
• Mermaids
• Fish
• Seagulls
• Bottles of rum
• Lifebuoys
• Shells
• Clocks

There were also some absolutely gorgeous glittery lobster decorations.

And yes, we found “he’s her lobster” Christmas decorations. 🦞

These were probably some of my favourite decorations in the whole department.

🎄 Harrods Christmas Decorations with the Year on Them

If you’re looking for something specifically to remember your visit, don’t rush your decision.

There’s a section towards the end of the Christmas department dedicated to Harrods-branded Christmas decorations, including pieces featuring the Harrods building, shopping bags, London motifs and the year.

This is actually the section I’d recommend checking before you choose your final decoration.

I love buying Christmas decorations when I travel because they become little time capsules of places you’ve visited.

I still have decorations from trips including the Sydney Opera House and a sparkly kiwi from New Zealand, so I completely understand the appeal.

🍫 Harrods Christmas Chocolate Coins

And now for my new Christmas challenge!

I’m going to try the chocolate coins from different London department stores throughout my Christmas series and see which ones come out on top.

At Harrods, the Christmas chocolate coins weren’t actually in the Christmas department when I visited. We eventually found them in the Harrods food section on the ground floor, alongside the other Harrods chocolates and sweets.

A packet cost £7 and contained 20 Belgian chocolate coins.

And because it was a heatwave in August, they were already melting by the time we tasted them! 😂

But the verdict?

9/10.

Very milky, very chocolatey and very good. We’ll see how the other department stores compare…

🎀 Which Christmas Decoration Did I Buy?

After looking at a lot of decorations, I eventually chose a pink Nutcracker.

Honestly, it was always going to be something pink.

I chose it because it felt very me — and I know I’ll think of this trip to Harrods every time I get it out at Christmas.

It cost £22.95, so definitely not the cheapest Christmas decoration I’ve ever bought, but it’s one I’ll genuinely love.

My second choice would have been something specifically branded Harrods 2026, because I think those are the pieces that will feel most special as a souvenir in years to come.

Is Harrods Worth Visiting at Christmas?

Yes — particularly if you love luxury Christmas decorations, shopping and beautiful displays.

Even if you’re not planning to buy anything, the Christmas department is worth visiting for inspiration.

It’s particularly good if you’re looking for:

• London Christmas souvenirs
• Harrods Christmas gifts
• Christmas tree inspiration
• Unique Christmas ornaments
• Harrods teddy bears
• Festive food and gifts

And because Harrods is in Knightsbridge, you can easily combine it with Harvey Nichols, Sloane Street, Belgravia and Chelsea for a full festive day out.
