Peggy Porschen London: A Complete Guide to the Iconic Pink Café

by | Feb 1, 2026 | Blog, London | 0 comments

I am so excited to introduce you to one of my forever favourites! Peggy Porschen is one of London’s most recognisable cafés – known for its pink façade, floral installations and beautifully detailed cakes. Located on Elizabeth Street in Belgravia, it’s a favourite for birthdays, Valentine’s Day, brunch dates, and anyone who loves romantic London moments.

I’ve been visiting Peggy Porschen for years because I used to work in the area. I’ve seen it blossom from a simple heart shape display above the door, to this full blown mega installations. And from a few cupcakes to a full brunch menu and even an afternoon tea.

The menu and the displays change seasonally, from pink witch decor for Halloween with ghost topped cupcakes to Lovebirds for Valentine’s with heart shaped cakes.

In this guide I’m sharing everything you need to know before you visit – from the décor and menu to seating, bookings, pricing, and whether it’s really worth it.

Where Is Peggy Porschen London?

Peggy Porschen is located on Elizabeth Street in Belgravia, one of the prettiest and most charming streets in London. The area feels like a village in the heart of the city, with white townhouses, boutiques, cafés, and a calm atmosphere that’s very different from busier central areas.

It’s within easy walking distance of:

  • Victoria Station – Peggy Porschen is around 5-10 minute walk from this major station for underground, mainline trains and coach station too

  • Sloane Square – an alternative route comes into Sloane Square (Circle and District line) which is 10 minutes walk to Peggy Porschen through quiet backstreets.

  • Chelsea, Sloane Street and the King’s Road – explore the high street and designer shops here after your trip. I recommend the Zara in Duke of York Square, Anthropologie on King’s Road and the wonderful Peter Jones (aka John Lewis) with a no-frills easy breezy rooftop cafe

  • Buckingham Palace – in the opposite direction, you’re only 15 to 20 minutes walk to Buckingham Palace and St James’ Park.

This makes it a perfect stop at the beginning or end of a London day out.

Why Peggy Porschen Is So Famous

Peggy Porschen is best known for:

  • Its iconic pink exterior

  • Seasonal floral installations

  • Exquisitely decorated cakes, cupcakes and biscuits

The décor changes throughout the year – from Valentine’s and Easter to Halloween and Christmas but it always keeps that signature pink, floral feel designed by Dickinson and Doris.

I’ve seen people travelling far and wide to visit this pink cafe, even a bride and groom taking their wedding photos!

Valentine’s Day at Peggy Porschen

Valentine’s Day is one of the most magical times to visit Peggy Porschen. The café leans fully into romance, with themed décor, heart-shaped cakes, and limited-edition treats.

For Valentine’s this year (2026), Peggy Porschen offers the Parlour Cake Date Experience – a heart-shaped mini cake designed to share, served with two glasses of fizz. It’s perfect for couples, friends, or anyone celebrating Valentine’s in a softer, more personal way.

As a Valentine’s baby myself, this experience felt especially special.

Cakes, Cupcakes & Biscuits: What’s on the Menu?

Peggy Porschen’s menu goes far beyond one signature cake. Here’s everything I’ve tried and my favourites!

Layer Cakes and Party Cakes

These are pretty, light and delicious. You can pre-order these for special occasions on their website

Hot drinks, Coffees and teas

Peggy Porschen serve up the usual fabulous hot drinks. Cappuccinos, lattes and teas. They also make extraordinary special raspberry hot chocolates with loads of whipped cream. I love their Sweet Dreams Rose Latte which is steamed milk, rose syrup, beetroot powder and dried rose petals

Cocktails and fizz

If you like a little extra fiizz, enjoy a lovely Prosecco or a fresh fruity cocktail. We shot this in front of the Valentine’s display and it looked gorgeous!

Afternoon tea

I haven’t tried this but I want to! I’ll add my thoughts here when I do!

Brunch-style experiences

The Morning Tea experience is a brunch style afternoon tea which I absolutely loved. Mixing a top tier of croissants with yoghurt and granola, a bottom tier of egg and avocado favourites, finished with a middle tier of sweet treats.

There’s also an all-day brunch menu of hot food with classics like Eggs Benedict. Something else for me to come back and try.

One of the best things about Peggy Porschen is how closely the menu follows the seasons, making repeat visits feel fresh and exciting.

What to Wear to Peggy Porschen

I love checking the decor before I go so I can pick an outfit which matches.

For example the Lovebirds Valentine’s Day display had light blue running through it, so I wore a blue dress from Needle and Thread a pink petticoat underneath and a blue and pink cardigan.

However my friend Fatinah picked a contrasting red dress which looked fantastic too.

My advice is to go ALL OUT, wear whatever you like and have fun!

Where to Take Photos and Best Times To Visit

The money shot at Peggy Porschen is always the main display on the corner.

Of course this can be a very busy area so wait for a quiet moment to jump in for a photo.

Once you’re in the entrance, the display does all the hard work for you, so a few snaps and a quick video will do!

The best time for photos will be weekdays in the morning as it is quiet. And you often get a little sunshine in the morning too, in the afternoon it drops behind the building.

Seating at Peggy Porschen

There are a few seating options at Peggy Porschen:

  • Outdoor seating to either side of the corner cafe – perfect for photos and soaking up the street atmosphere

  • Small indoor seating area near the entrance

  • Larger seating space at the back, often used for afternoon tea or private bookings

If the weather is good, sitting outside is my favourite option. If it’s cold or raining, the indoor seating still feels cosy and elegant.

Do You Need to Book Peggy Porschen?

Peggy Porschen does take bookings, especially for:

  • Afternoon tea

  • Special occasions

  • Valentine’s experiences

  • Group visits

If you’re visiting during peak times (Valentine’s, weekends, holidays), booking ahead is highly recommended.

However they also encourage walk ins and I’ve only ever booked once!

It is a busy little location so people come and go frequently.

My favourite time is to visit on a week day early morning and you’ll have your pick of the tables! Peggy Porschen also has a takeaway option, so I often will grab a coffee to go in a cute pink cup!

Is Peggy Porschen Worth It?

Peggy Porschen is a luxury café experience. Prices reflect that, with cupcakes around £7 and drinks around £5.

That said, you’re paying for more than just cake – you’re paying for:

  • The setting

  • The seasonal décor

  • The experience of being there

If you love beautiful cafés, romantic London spots and making an occasion out of everyday moments, it’s absolutely worth it.
