We’re so lucky in London to be blessed with so many perfectly pink and white blossom trees in parks and streets throughout the city in spring. In this blog I’m going through my camera roll to share with you the locations plus the dates I took the pictures so you can plan your visit to these beautiful Instagrammable spots. As ever, these places are often very busy in spring so make sure you take your time, be patient and be courteous in residential areas. Let’s go!
When do cherry blossom flower in London?
Cherry blossom starts to come out in mid March and hits peak towards the end of the month. It can be earlier or later depending on the weather. So that is why I have added dates to my photos here so you can see. All trees flower at different times but I promise there’s always something beautiful on every corner!
What other flowers does London have in spring?
Loads! You can see my blog on magnolia here.
Stanley Crescent, Notting Hill – Blossom in Spring
Probably the most FAMOUS (or Instagram famous) blossom tree is on the corner at Stanley Crescent and draws a huge crowd every year. It is such a huge tree that a few people can be taking photos at the same time. The sun can create a heavy contrast on this tree but you can work with it to get lovely pictures.

St James’s Park
I finally made it to St James’s Park on a super sunny spring day and I was overwhelmed with the number of pretty white and pink blossom trees around the lake. It really is the most perfect park, with Buckingham Palace on one side and the city on the other. It is one of the more busy parks with tourists and workers filling the park up. Take your time here. Pictures taken on 28 March 2025.

Greenwich Park – Spring in London
Last year I set off to Greenwich Park at 6am…and let me tell you, it was still busy when I got there! I had visions of me twirling round an empty park, but alas…no. This patch is on Google maps as the Greenwich Cherry Blossom (thank you Google) but is next to Blackheath Avenue. We took a taxi from Greenwich station but you could get a bus or walk.

If you’d like a bigger tree at a quieter place, walk 5 to 10 minutes to the Greenwich Flower Park where these pictures were taken!

Regents Park – Spring in London
I love Regents Park the whole year round but Spring really is beautiful. There’s so many places to visit in this park, I’d recommend walking around at your leisure rather than rushing to take photos. My photos have all been taken at the South East side of the park – look for English Gardens and Broadwalk as a starting point.

St Paul’s Cathedral
St Paul’s always looks iconic in Spring with the pink blossom against the beautiful domed cathedral. I have lived in London ten years and I managed to get this delicate shot in 2020 and then recently went back and saw it in full bloom.

I took this photo on 26 April 2021 and I remember this day so clearly! It was one of those days when the petals were blowing off these little trees and swirling around. I hope they are still there but I haven’t been back to check!
