I cannot recommend Claire highly enough, she is the consummate professional in all she does and my go to reliable PR. She has never let me down even at short notice! Everyone needs Claire in their life.
Wow. Thank you so much. You’re quick and connected.
As the founder of The Nth Degree Club and the president of the Restaurant Association, I required a PR and Marketing expert to the business in order to craft our story and highlight the best of this magnificent industry. I was delighted to appoint Claire as Marketing and PR Consultant in Summer 2018, at a very exciting time for the brand. Claire brought the knowledge and expertise to streamline our marketing, translate our luxury brand to a digital platform and embrace digital. The pinnacle of this work was the Restaurant Association Gala Dinner which brought together 350 hospitality leaders, celebrities and honoured guests including Albert Roux OBE, Michel Roux Jr, Raymond Blanc OBE, Gizzi Erskine, Lisa Snowdon, Melissa Hemsley, Jo Elvin, Lucy Verasamy and Rosemary Ferguson.
The PR & Marketing activities were well organised and we were delighted to receive more coverage than ever before on social media and in national newspapers, magazines and digital including The Caterer, HELLO, Daily Mail. I look forward to continuing this journey as we aim our sights on transforming the hospitality industry.
I worked with Claire at global nursery brand Mamas & Papas, so when I started as Head of Marketing at Zakti Activewear, I knew she would be the perfect person to bring into consult on our PR and to help me set the strategy for the new brand.”
One of the standout campaigns has been our collaboration with former Pussycat Doll Kimberly Wyatt who fronted our SS17 launch. Claire’s relationship with the press led to a front cover and six page feature in YOU Magazine, Mail on Sunday which kickstarted strong sales for the collection. It was the first time the brand had ever been featured in a large national feature.
Her approach is pragmatic, creative and strategic which always ensures maximum return on investment. She is confident in negotiating with press and influencers which has ensured coverage in The Times, Cosmopolitan, Fabulous, i newspaper, New, Hello plus many more.
Claire has also supported Zakti Activewear’s digital strategy, reaching out to contacts including Lisa Snowdon, LornaLuxe, Mr Plant Geek and Donna Ida Thornton to provide gifting in return for content on social media. She is always results driven, to enhance our SEO and traffic to the Zakti Activewear blog, she introduced an interview section for cross-marketing purposes which ensures link-backs and promotion for influencers working with Zakti.
Claire & The City 121 Review: Best day ever! Claire came and took control of:
– Mailchimp – created a format and set up my newsletter template, yay!!!
– Google Drive – created a social media plan and schedule for next year, including a new area for my photos and content.
This means when I launch my newsletter I can share all I need to with my new admin helper.
This would have taken me days and days… by over thinking what I should do and seeking perfection. I can’t tell you what a relief it was to have everything done in just one day!! It’s filled me with a renewed energy.
Claire really took time to understand my business and gave me loads of bespoke advice. Claire simplified and implemented what I’d over complicated in my head. Highly recommend you booked her now!
Claire was my PR and Marketing Manager for four years at DONNA IDA and is my PR Consultant now, so we have always worked closely together to build a marketing strategy for the Ultimate Denim Destination. Claire’s PR experience led to an increase in press coverage 30% year-on-year with a focus on luxury titles and targeting key editors. Claire is very well liked by the press and they felt very happy and comfortable with her, so much so that they were just as happy going to Claire as they were coming to me. We developed a press strategy of one-to-one appointments and special evening press dinners to encourage exclusivity with exceptional results. She worked closely with our in-house creative team to build the brand and my personal profile within the fashion and business sectors, managing photo shoots and Look Books. Claire is loyal, entrepreneurial and strategic so when presented with a challenge she sees it as an opportunity. When we lacked an Ecommerce Manager she stepped in to hire an SEO and PPC agency, understand the value of keywords and content plus extend her knowledge of link building and social media.
The results were campaigns which were omnichannel, encouraging a community social media with standout campaigns for me being Mother Told Me and Team High Team Low, plus work with bloggers for cross marketing with blogging duo of WeAreTwinset Philippa Bloom and Sarah Tankel Ellis, features editor of Instyle Hannah Rouch, fashion stylist Pippa Vosper and journalist Lisa Haynes. The London Fashion Week content created using street style shots of influential women wearing denim was shot by our in-house team and resulted in the highest hits on our blog and the strongest engagement with social media of any of our campaigns. Her writing has always been particularly strong with blogs, press releases and Look Book copy all under her remit and always displaying an ability to work to very tight deadlines. I worked closely with Claire on the overall business vision and bounced a lot of ideas off her which was key for me as a business owner. Claire’s extensive experience across most aspects of the company always made her much more than just a PR & Marketing Manager.
I am a huge fan of Claire’s; her Claire & The City blog is really impressive in both design and content. Her words are informative and her observations insightful. I love her approach and always learn much from what she writes.
